Contrails + Sigrid Sibley Band

Contrails is an electronic music trio/quartet with John Clark on electric double bass, Shannon Allen on electric cello, Michael McInnis on synthesizers and Dylan Kumnick on drums. The sound is eclectic; influenced by the band member’s diverse backgrounds in Classical, Jazz, World Music and Folk Traditions. Improvisation is at the center of each performance, utilizing effects and loop pedals to create multi layered soundscapes of melody, texture and compositional form. Beautiful and atmospheric, Contrails takes the listener on a journey to the unexpected, painting a picture in the moment that lingers long after the music is gone.

Sigrid Sibley is an emerging singer-songwriter in New England and a native of Poland Spring, Maine. She began songwriting at age 14, with a focus on lyric writing. Her music draws on common folk themes, as well as her love for nature, agriculture, and simple living. Sigrid has musical roots in bluegrass, folk, and traditional American music, and she has continued to explore acoustic music genres. She performs as a solo musician and with several bands in Maine.
