Big Brute, a four piece outfit based in Portland ME, delivers a somber reflection on many aspects of life wrapped up in a raucous rock and roll attitude. With introspective lyrical content covering both the literal and metaphorical, the listener is given multiple interpretive avenues to walk down. The band, consisting of two guitars bass and drums, set a foundation for these lyrical explorations ranging from big 70s rock energy to more modern emo sensibilities. Having been told after a set “you’re like the Gin Blossoms by way of Tom Petty and Brand New”, Big Brute would prefer to be known just as Big Brute. Wholly original, but widely inspired.

Qvickdraw is a New Hampshire-based power-pop band writing songs about the small questions and big feelings that float us through life. The band released two EPs in 2023 styled around fuzzed-out indie-rock hooks and shiny vocal harmonies, and is currently writing new material to be released later this year.
